Yes we are a Coop!

What is a cooperative?! You have probably heard of them before, old cooperatives such as Rabobank, Friesland Campina, but also new ones that have a more different approach to really improve the world, such as Odin – food coop with ideals, but also Patagonia – the well-known activist sports brand.
A cooperation is owned by its members. Members have a voice, and together we have a very big voice in tackling things. We can find something together, do something, such as buying coffee or electric cars together, but for less than the price at the supermarket or the dealer, because we do not have to pay shareholders dividends, so the advantage of buying something together is that the purchasing discount is for us! So, in other words, our coffee is cheaper than at AHaa.

So the Blue Marble is a cooperative, we are still in our infancy, we have many more plans; helping new start-ups together, fun parties that are about something, and running for Antarctica with André Kuipers, but more about that later. We already have more than 300 members, if you think ‘I want to too’ – then register or come visit our clubhouse in the Stopera and you will immediately receive our blue marble to give it a nice place somewhere at home!
